Preheat oven to 325

Cream butter and sugar together either using a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment or a hand mixer

Add eggs, one at a time

Add vanilla
-
Add flour, one cup at a time

Add beer
-
Scrape down sides and bottom of bowl and mix until combined

Coat a bundt pan with cooking spray

Pour cake batter into the bundt pan and bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a cake tester or tooth pick comes out clean

Remove from oven and let cool in pan for 10 - 15 minutes then invert to a plate or cake stand

Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired
