Hello, lover…..
Sorry, I was talking to my shake, not you. No offense.
Did you know that July is National Ice Cream Month? And that the third Sunday of July is National Ice Cream Day? No worries. Me neither. According to my Google research, in 1984 while I was proudly wearing neon, watching Ghostbusters, istening to “Like a Virgin” on a cassette tape, and waking me up before you go go, President Reagan issued a proclamation hailing July as National Ice Cream Month.
Thank you President Reagan.

I also did not know. I don’t even think in Italy we have a Gelato day. I must check it out!
Let’s party…Let’s rave!
Let’s party, Emanuele! 🙂
This looks SINFULLY delicious 🙂 All over this peanut butter cookie deliciousness!
Thanks Medha! It was!
Oh peanut butter cookie milkshake?! YES! This sounds amazing, Rachelle! Such a perfect shake for the summer. Love the cookie crunch in here!
Thanks Gayle! You can’t go wrong with peanut butter in my book!
You know, people hate on Reagan, but the man loved jelly beans, declared ketchup a veggie (or was that Bush?), and loved on PB. You’ve gotta respect that. This shake is pretty much where my happy place lives forever!
Mir, you speak the truth! I totally forgot about the jelly beans! I’m not sure who did the ketchup thing. 🙂
I like a whole month just dedicated to ice cream! Woo-Hoo! A decadent shake is just the way to begin the celebration!
I totally agree, Kathy!
Thank you President Reagan! And thank you Rachelle, I’m going to make this with coconut or almond ice cream.
Awesome! I’m sure either one would be delicious!
This looks like a dream!
Thanks Lynn!
OMG, this can not get any better! I make a similar shake and love it! Need to try your recipe Rachelle! Will keep in mind that the third sunday is National Ice Cream Day and make some 🙂
Yes! Do it, Mira! I can’t wait to see what kind you make!

You’ve been doing a lot of ice cream celebrating lately, Kelly! I’ve been loving it!
I can. not. with this one! I wish I were sipping it right now! Thanks for letting us know it’s ice cream month…I’m gonna get on that!
I wish I was sipping on this shake right now too, Annie! LOL
I knew President Reagan did something good while in office. You go Ronnie! I’m making this recipe ASAP because 1) it’s awesome 2) it’s a great excuse to buy Nutter Butter cookies again after not eating them in F-O-R-E-V-E-R (probably 1984). Yay me! Thanks Rachelle!
LOL! You gotta love President Reagan and Nutter Butters!
You never cease to crack me up, Rachelle! Your blog is ALWAYS the place I know I can turn to when I need a little cheer and some damn good eats (or drinks of course)! Let’s talk about this milkshake for a second. Peanut butter cookie? Umm- yes. I will NEED two. One for both hands. Please and thank you. 🙂 we can listen to a little Madge as you whip me together one (u can spike mine)… when we are neighbors!! (2 hours away neighbors, but who’s counting? Not me!) Cheers my sweets! Xo
Ok. Thank you so much for me cracking you up. I crack myself up sometimes, but I don’t think that counts. And OMG! I CAN’T WAIT FOR US TO BE NEIGHBORS! I’m sorry – didn’t mean to shout, but I’m totally excited! And I will spike yours and mine while turning on Madge! 🙂
Yes – Thank you President Regan! Love your creation! I remember Nutter Butter cookies to be a bit salty sweet, they must be a perfect addition to a peanut butter cookie shake!
Good memory! They are salty and sweet! Thanks Cali!
Oh my. I definitely want this shake to be MY lover. I’m drooling over here! I would say though that bourbon is NOT optional. It’s a must! <3
LOL! Bourbon is never optional over here Jess!
What a lovely looking milkshake, Rachelle! Just perfect!
Thanks Anu!

Oh man…this looks so killer. Milkshakes are so nostalgic for me – we made/devoured them ALL the time when I was a kid. This looks so perfect!
OMG! I’m totally with you on the nostalgia!
Oh boy! This one is a weakness of mine. I can’t say no to peanut butter. What an awesome creation, Rachelle! 🙂
