This post is about mistakes.  We all make them, right?

For instance, this dish?  Was supposed to be a Grilled Watermelon and Grilled  Peach Caprese.  I forgot the cheese.  Oops.

I’ve had a lot going on this week. And I love knowing I have all of you, my friends, to talk to. Thank you for being you. I know that every single day I can wake up and talk to all of you. Your blog, my blog, I feel a connection to all of you.

I appreciate each and every one of you.

One of my mistakes: This was supposed to be a Grilled Watermelon and Peach Caprese for Lisa’s Annual Birthday Meat Fest.  I forgot the mozzarella.  Chris called me out on the lack of cheese when I put it on the table.  Lisa gave me a break.  She’s awesome like that.

I jack things up like that now and then.  I’m glad I’m forgiven.  XOXOXO

And this is me being honest.  Love y’all!

Haha…I’ve totally been there with the mistakes. The worst is when you overcook something and have to completely start over. Or make a cake batter, put it in the oven and then look over to see a key ingredient still sitting on the counter. Been there. Done that. But this mistake doesn’t look all that bad to me…heck, I’d be perfectly happy with this one. Just don’t mention the missing cheese, and I’d never know! 🙂

Love this salad, Rachelle! I totally know where you’re coming from about mistakes – I make far too many all the time with my baking, leaving out vital ingredients etc! I agree with Medha – it looks like a delicious mistake! 😀

Mistake? I think not. I tend to call them ‘experiments.’

I like your experiment with omitting the cheese. It certainly made the grilled peaches and watermelon a lighter dish and at a party would be a welcome addition!

We all make mistakes in the kitchen. I’m notorious for making a dish and forgetting the main ingredient! Good thing I have a grocery store right down the road 😉 In any event, this looks and sounds like a wonderful dish. I’ve had grilled peaches, but yet to have grilled watermelon. It’s something I’ve been meaning to try, and this looks like a wonderful recipe to sink my teeth into 🙂
