We also have a delicious and easy vegetarian, vegan, and raw food Valentine’s Day option for you! Sometimes we want a lighter dessert instead of a heavy chocolate indulgence.  And we can’t leave out our vegan and/or raw foods friends either, right?  Right!  And this sorbet is a winner in all departments.  I discovered this little gem in one of my raw food vegan cookbooks and have wanted to make it for a while. It finally happened.  Yay me!

Sorbet recipe barely adapted from Raw Food Real World, page 254

Note:  you can chill a can of coconut milk in the freezer for about an hour and it will separate – otherwise if you have a can that has been sitting in your pantry for several days it should be separated – DON’T SHAKE IT!

Note:  This sorbet is delicious, but melts really fast!  Keep it in the freezer until ready to serve and I recommend chilling your serving dishes too!

I love sorbet! It’s so light and packed with so much flavor! How did Phil ever get his job anyway? His prediction record is really spotty.

What a great idea of whipping coconut milk – so much healthier than regular whipped cream! I love frozen treats, and this sorbet looks amazing!

I love frozen grapes, and I love sorbet, so I am not sure why I have never thought to combine them. Great idea!

I’d do a little of both! I really need a stand mixer, and I’d get my BF some workout gear!

I’m a big fan of sorbet but I’ve never tried grape – this is fantastic! Grapes are one of my favorite things to snack on in the evening, and to make it into a sorbet is brilliant! And I’m loving the coconut whipped cream too, such a stellar pairing!
